Today I am sharing with you my first interior render.
I never before create interior visualization in my life, but to be honest there was some attempts, and I fail everytime. There was something like, to be honest, interior scenes are heavy for rendering in my case But yesterday was shining sun through my window and I finally decided, I am gonna do it, no matter what, no matter what my friends and family gonna think about me, I just render it Here are the results Am I only one who render interior scene in product mode, haha ? I find it much more pleasant to be honest
I also like product mode best. Even for interiors. Nice job. If I had to offer a couple ideas to improve this one, I would:
Adjust the shadow on the back wall. See where it touches the back side of the sofa? That’s an odd tangency. I would suggest moving the shadow on the wall either more to the right or left, as it will remove this distracting tangency.
I would move the camera back a little bit so there’s a tiny bit more negative space between the edge of the image and the other furntiture pieces.
Good job though! Very minor adjustments, but I think they might be good things to consider on your next rendering.
Thank you for your feedback Will. When I find little bit more time for project like this I am definitely going apply this tips to see the results I appreciate your feedback
The material is classic plastic with 3 simple maps, these scanned materials can be download on polyhaven, I hope it will help you there is nothing special about these materials, the most of the job when it comes to visualization is about lighting. I got simple HDR map which is in KeyShot library with 2 or 3 pins to highlight few more details, and contrast of this HDR map is just little bit more to achieve that nice strong black shadow and lighting on the floor and wall.
Hello Mitchell,
I just used free assets from the web, but I was doing couple models like alligator leather strap for watch, and that puffiness is always hard to do I am using autodesk Maya for 3D modeling and there is awesome plugin which is free, it’s call Seams Easy, it’s got bunch of options to create stitching, or that edge where two materials connect together.
